National Conference Updates
Subject: Pro-Life Forum;
Conference Prayer; More hotel rooms available
Less than month before the national
conference! We hope you have already made plans to attend.
Attached is the registration form. There is still time.
Please call the hotel directly to reserve your room. Please make sure
to arrive by 1 pm on July 3 (Friday) for the Pro-Life Forum.
On Friday evening to kick-off the conference, no less
than His Eminence Justin Francis Cardinal
Rigali of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and current
Chairman of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
(USCCB) Committee for Pro-Life Activities - will address
us. Cardinal Rigali is concurrently also Chairman of the Ad
Hoc Committee on Aid to the Catholic Church in Central
and Eastern Europe. In addition, he serves also as a member
of several committees of the USCCB.
In addition, we will have
Joe Scheidler as one of our main
conference speakers. Mr. Scheidler, who is
referred to as the Godfather of the Pro-Life movement, is the Founder
and National Director of Pro-Life Action League. Joe Scheidler is a
recognized expert on the abortion culture, sidewalk counseling, the
spiritual dimension of pro-life activism, fetal experimentation,
working with the media, the responsibility of the church to fight
abortion, battling the courts and the need for a return to morality.
His total dedication to the cause; his dynamism and passion in fighting
in defense for life will no doubt move you.
By providing these two
national and well-respected dignitaries a forum to speak out on the
continuing attacks against life, we are giving our members the
opportunity to learn and understand the importance and the urgency of
our participation - as Christians, as a community - in reversing
this culture of death that is very quickly engulfing us; and especially
if our conference ends up gathering over 1,000 delegates in the
audience, we will certainly become very visible to the Catholic Church
and to other national Pro-life movements as a viable army for Pro-life
advocacy.
Our weekend conference also
includes the main talks and activities that lead us into the Lord's
message to the community this year to "Trust Him" -- such timely and
consoling words to us as we face the world in crisis today.
PLS BLAST THIS TO ALL MEMBERS
Exactly one month and one day before we
celebrate our 15th Anniversary in Maryland this July, we are issuing
this Conference Prayer (see attachment) for the benefit not only of the
hosting area but for all of us who are anticipating an outpouring of
the Holy Spirit marking that event. We encourage all members to recite
this prayer daily and for those who have more time, you can enlist in
our PRAYER TREE at http://cfcffl.com/prayerregform.asp.
Thank you very much and God bless us all!

CONFERENCE
PRAYER
Come,
Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the
fire of your love.
Almighty
Father, look graciously upon your family of believers here before you,
who have chosen to proclaim your graciousness and mercy marking
our
15th year, for which we prepare to gather and celebrate
in
Maryland this coming July 3 to 5, 2009.
O
God, once more we consecrate ourselves to you as a community of love
dedicated to spreading your Word, the renewal of family, and the
defense of life.
Behold
you are our salvation, we will trust and not be afraid.
Conform
our humanity, O Lord, to the example of Christ, our redeemer, as we
turn from our selfishness onto brokenness, from our restlessness to
your comfort and sanctuary, from our confusing ways to the order and
discipline of your Spirit, and thus from our barrenness to the full
bloom and fruition of the gifts that you bestowed upon us, to magnify
you before angels and men.
Bless
our toil, Father, so that it would become truly meaningful especially
to those who
are
looking for hope and love in these very trying times. Enable us to
achieve Your Son’s promise that, far greater than what He has done, you
will accomplish through us who rest in His trust. Send forth your
Spirit and they shall be created and you shall renew the face of the
earth.
All
this we ask, through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and in
the most powerful name of Jesus, Our Savior and our King. Amen.
